Everything they do seems radical.

Everything they say is said with deep conviction.

The things that successful people do,

And the conviction they have,

Seem so extreme,

Because the things that you do are so average,

And the beliefs that you have are so Lukewarm,

That you can’t fathom doing such radical things,

Or having such deep convictions.

And instead of being perceived as an extreme person, which can ruffle some feathers,

You’d rather never really know what you believe,

Never standing for anything,

Never taking the time to decide and articulate your convictions firmly.

Such simple things that you’re fully capable of doing,

Seem so unfathomable to you,

Because in today’s society,

Having principles you relentlessly live by,

And ideas you deeply believe in,

Is so hard to come by,

Successful people only seem extreme.

Because everyone else is lukewarm.
