Manifestation, or the practice of visualization, is often cited as valuable in building your ideal future.

I’m here to remind you that the power isn’t in how often or clearly you manifest or visualize something.

The power lies in the actions you put behind the manifestations.

With our culture recently popularizing the practice of manifestation, there has been a heavy emphasis on one side of the equation, creating an unequal balance.

You can visualize getting the house of your dreams every day of your life. You can even go as far as visualizing what the house looks like, how you decorate it, and how many bedrooms it has.

But if you never work towards getting that dream house by saving your money, finding a great realtor, and an even better contractor to build it, then your vision is useless.

You may think this is a silly reminder, but I see far too many inspired people waiting on the universe to pull everything together and make their dreams come true.

The literal definition of manifestation, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, is “the act, process, or instance of manifesting”.

Manifestation is the event or action that embodies an abstract idea, according to the Oxford Dictionary.

The key word in both of these definitions is ‘act’ or ‘action’.

The life source of manifestation is not visualization, but rather the actions you take.

Manifestation is not just saying you’re going to be a millionaire and expecting it to happen without your intentional effort, education, and persistence.

Too many people nowadays expect that simply wanting something is enough to actually achieve it.

Don’t fall into this trap.

Everything you visualize for your future is going to require hard work, diligence, and flexibility.

It’s especially going to require persistence, time, and long-term commitment.

Don’t lose sight of the necessity of your actions behind what you visualize for your future or what you’re trying to manifest in your life.

Your life, your work, your passions, and your relationships are all going to require work. They’re all going to require you to take action to make them the best they can be.

So, consider this your reminder that in order to make your dreams come true, you must go beyond dreaming to make them a reality.

The difference between those who have dreams and those who make their dreams a reality lies in their actions.

Don’t sit idly, relying on the universe to make all your hopes and dreams come true.

Manifesters are dreamers. Action-takers are reality-makers.

Who will you choose to be?
